In this talk, we consider the KdV-Burgers equation, a partial differential equation that is applied as a nonlinear model of the propagation of waves on an elastic tube filled with a viscous fluid. By means of the associated equivalence algebra and the first integral method, we convert partial differential equations into an overdetermined system from which the bounded traveling wave solutions are derived in terms of elliptic functions. Numerical simulations of wave phenomena are illustrated, which provide us rich dynamic information.

馮兆生,美國(guó)德克薩斯大學(xué)(University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) 大河谷分校數(shù)學(xué)統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)院終身教授,德克薩斯大學(xué)杰出成就獎(jiǎng)獲得者。主要研究方向有非線性動(dòng)力學(xué),分支與混沌系統(tǒng),數(shù)學(xué)物理問(wèn)題,數(shù)值計(jì)算和生物數(shù)學(xué)等。在數(shù)學(xué)、物理等國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)刊物上共發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文180余篇,其中被SCI檢索近160篇。近年在北美出版編輯六本英文著作/論文集,曾擔(dān)任十余個(gè)國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議的學(xué)術(shù)委員會(huì)委員,并在多個(gè)國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議上做過(guò)大會(huì)報(bào)告。目前擔(dān)任國(guó)際知名學(xué)術(shù)雜志Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation和Electronic Journal of Differential Equations的主編,同時(shí)擔(dān)任六個(gè)國(guó)際SCI雜志的編委。
