應(yīng)浙江大學(xué)應(yīng)用力學(xué)研究所的邀請,國際熱應(yīng)力雜志《Journal of Thermal Stresses》主編,美國羅切斯特理工大學(xué)(Rochester Institute of Technology)榮休教授R. B. Hetnarski于6月9日下午3:30在浙江大學(xué)玉泉校區(qū)教12-118會議室作了題為“Coupled Thermoelasticity – Problem for a Space”的學(xué)術(shù)報告。
熱應(yīng)力分析是固體力學(xué)的重要研究內(nèi)容,不僅在機(jī)、電、土、化等傳統(tǒng)工業(yè)的結(jié)構(gòu)和系統(tǒng)設(shè)計中發(fā)揮著巨大的作用,在航空、航天、核工程、微機(jī)電系統(tǒng)、生物醫(yī)學(xué)等新型工程設(shè)計中也是必不可少的內(nèi)容。特別是高速、微型化等應(yīng)用對熱應(yīng)力分析提出了更高的要求,需要更精確的理論和有效的分析方法。
Hetnarski教授首先簡要分析了經(jīng)典非耦合熱彈性理論的特點(diǎn),指出其存在兩個明顯的缺陷,即(1)無法解釋諸如金屬試件在拉伸過程會發(fā)燙的現(xiàn)象,和(2)熱的傳播速度表現(xiàn)為無限大。第一個缺陷可以由耦合的熱彈性理論予以克服,通過增加適當(dāng)?shù)鸟詈享棧碚撋霞瓤梢灶A(yù)測由熱致力,也可以預(yù)測由力致熱。第二個缺陷可以由修改經(jīng)典的傅立葉熱傳導(dǎo)方程加以克服,使其從拋物型改成雙曲型。在此非經(jīng)典熱彈性框架內(nèi),Hetnarski教授介紹了他提出的基于算子理論的數(shù)學(xué)推導(dǎo)方法,可以方便地在頻域內(nèi)獲得點(diǎn)源荷載作用下的Green函數(shù),并給出了若干有趣的熱應(yīng)力分析結(jié)果。他在報告中也特地指出了《Journal of Thermal Stresses》的標(biāo)志圖案就來自其早年基于非經(jīng)典耦合熱彈性理論的計算結(jié)果。
報告吸引了眾多老師和同學(xué)的參與,引起了廣泛興趣。大家從不同的角度提出了很多問題,討論十分熱烈。
R. B. Hetnarski教授不僅是熱應(yīng)力雜志的創(chuàng)刊人,也是國際熱應(yīng)力大會(International Congress on Thermal Stresses)的發(fā)起人。第十屆國際熱應(yīng)力大會剛于2013年5月31日-6月4日在南京成功舉辦,我所陳偉球教授應(yīng)邀作了大會報告。下一屆熱應(yīng)力大會將于2015年在加拿大舉行。
