報告人簡介：William D. Nix, 美國Stanford University材料科學(xué)與工程系Lee Otterson教授，美國科學(xué)院、工程院、藝術(shù)與科學(xué)院院士。1963年于斯坦福大學(xué)獲得博士學(xué)位。1972年至今任美國斯坦福大學(xué)材料科學(xué)與工程系教授。長期從事材料力學(xué)性能方面的研究并取得了突出成就。獲Acta Metallurgica Gold Medal(1993), ASM Gold Medal (1998), Honorary Doctorate of Engineering by Colorado School of Mines(2001), ASME Nadai Medal (2001), ASM Albert Sauveur Achievement Award (2003), Honorary Doctorate of Engineering by UIUC(2007), MRS von Hippel Award (2007)等多項榮譽。
